Drab to Fab, Round Two!

Slope Remodel: Part II

We transformed the left side of the embankment into a rock garden full of young native perennials. This project is still a work in progress, so updated photos are soon to come! Some of the plants already used in this design include asters, bee balm, heuchera, foam flower, carex, phlox paniculata, and black-eyed susans. This spring we will add holly, golden ragwort, blue mist flower, cardinal flower, and more bee balm. Our intent is to install native species that will spread and fill in the space. We will also add more boulders to add dimension, similar to that of Part I (the right side).
