Slope Remodel: Part I
We transformed a weedy ditch into a show-stopping terraced embankment full of native perennials. Artistic stonework directs the eye across the slope and highlights the natural curves of the terrain. Some of the plants used in this design include swamp milkweed, coneflower (echinacea), butterfly weed, black-eyed susan, and pink muhly grass. We chose perennials with strong root systems to help with soil retention and spread to fill in the slope.
