Charming Front Yard
Our client felt that their front yard had become overgrown and cramped for the space, so they wanted a more tailored, "English neat" look. To achieve this, we designed a charming, structured garden featuring low-maintenance, compact plants in soft white, pink, and purple tones. We incorporated the vibrant Aster novae-angliae ‘Purple Dome’ for a pop of rich purple, Iberis sempervirens (Candytuft) for its crisp, long-lasting white blooms, Allium ‘Millenium’ with playful purple globes, and Phlox subulata for delicate pink hues and evergreen groundcover. The timeless elegance of Leucanthemum × superbum (Shasta daisy) adds bright white accents, creating a polished, year-round garden that remains tidy and cheerful.
To the left is the original design plan. Some elements were changed, like keeping the Japanese maple in its current location but heavily pruning it. We added a limelight hydrangea in tree-form to take the place of where we planned to transplant the Japanese maple. The end result is full of charm and lush blooms.
